What happens in the Classic Barre workout?

Classic Barre is an hour-long class that targets all the major muscle groups in a no-impact/interval training type format. 

  • We begin with a brief warm-up, 
  • We do exercises and weight work for the upper body, 
  • We do intense work for the thighs and seat at the barre,
  • We do core conditioning/abdominal work. 

We incorporate stretching throughout the workout, and there is a final stretch/cool-down/meditation period at the end of class. Sounds great, right? It is, and it will make you feel great, too!

What if I am not very fit?

All ages and levels of fitness can benefit from all of our classes! 

Your teachers will match your health and fitness level with modifications for injury or limitations in all of our classes. Be sure to discuss any injuries, concerns, or limits with jumping, running, or plyometric movements with your instructor before the class so your instructor can suggest modifications.  

*NOTE: Barre Burn and other specialty classes are higher intensity sessions combining precise barre movements and cardio. Talk to your instructor before the class about any concerns you may have — we want you to have fun and get fit in the way that suits you best!

How often should I take classes? When do I see results?

Taking 3-5 classes a week will provide optimal results. Classic Barre is a perfect complement to other healthy lifestyle activities like yoga, pilates, and cardio interval workouts. Our classes enhance performance and help mitigate injury while playing all kinds of sports. If you attend at least three classes a week, you will see noticeable results within as little as three weeks and (in some cases) sooner! Incorporating Barre Envy classes into your wellness routine over time will create:

  • Reduced body fat and an increase in lean muscle mass
  • A toned and sculpted upper body
  • sexy, flat abs
  • long, tapered thighs
  • a lifted butt and defined hamstrings
  • improved posture and balance
  • more energy and increased stamina
  • a better overall feeling of wellbeing

 

What if I am (or get) pregnant?

Many of our clients take our Barre Envy classes before, during, and after pregnancy! You will need to bring a note from your doctor before beginning classes indicating that you can safely participate in strengthening and stretching exercise classes while pregnant. We require this note from both new and experienced clients.

We offer specific modifications as your pregnancy progresses.

What do I need to bring to class?

We have the equipment you will need at the studio, so you only need to wear comfortable workout clothes (leggings, yoga pants, and tank or t-shirt), including yoga (grip) socks, and bring some positive energy! Some specialty classes may require athletic shoes. We are happy to offer you free towels and water for every session!

Where can I park?

There is FREE public parking right on our street in the park adjacent to our building (north side), and there is a 30 + FREE public parking lot directly across the street from Bedner’s Market. Pretty convenient!

Do I need to register for classes?

We highly recommend reservations. Barre Envy is a boutique fitness studio and we strive to keep a small class size to maintain that personal experience.

If you are unable to register online you may call 561-891- 0006. We will happily accept walk- ins if class size permits. Many classes fill to capacity so to insure your spot it is always best to have a reservation.

How much does it cost to take classes?

Take your pick! A single class is $27, and we offer monthly memberships (the BEST option!) and package options with an expiration date. If it’s your first time, or first time in a while, we highly recommend our 2 week unlimited trial membership — for only $75 you can try it all!
